On September 3, 2025, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at UMPSA conducted a specialized Mathematics Workshop at Maahad Tahfiz Negeri Pahang (MTNP) to prepare students for the International Mathematical Olympiad National Selection Test (IMONST) 2025. Facilitated by five expert lecturers, the two-hour session focused on strengthening analytical skills and solving high-level, non-routine problems.
Held from July 25 to August 11, 2025, this program provided specialized Mathematical Olympiad training to prepare students for the OMK 2025 competition. Facilitated by eight lecturers across three comprehensive sessions, the initiative engaged over 60 students in enhancing their problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and mathematical confidence. The program aimed to develop competitive participants with a robust mathematical foundation capable of excelling in both national and international arenas.
On July 31, 2025, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at UMPSA Pekan Campus hosted the Slot Motivasi SEMSAS, a motivational program for 129 Form Five students from Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah. The session was designed to prepare students for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination by focusing on academic readiness and core values such as resilience, effective communication, and goal-setting.
On Tuesday 24th June 2025, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at UMPSA, in partnership with the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD), successfully organised a Python and Scratch workshop for 23 secondary schools in Kuantan. The programme aimed to boost digital literacy and introduce programming basics to secondary school teachers and students throughout the Kuantan region.
