On Tuesday 24th June 2025, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at UMPSA, in partnership with the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD), successfully organised a Python and Scratch workshop for 23 secondary schools in Kuantan.  The programme aimed to boost digital literacy and introduce programming basics to secondary school teachers and students throughout the Kuantan region.  Dr. Nor Azuana Ramli, Dr. Noratikah Abu and Dr. Noraini Ibrahim led the Python sessions while Dr. Nur Haizum Abd Rahman, Prof. Madya Dr. Yuhani Yusof, Dr. Muhammad Azrin Ahmad, Dr. Norhafizah Moslim, Dr. Wan Nur Syahidah Wan Yusoff, Miss Nur Zahirah Md Nor and Dr. Norhafizah Md Sarif facilitated the Scratch sessions. This initiative offered students and teachers a valuable chance to explore fundamental coding concepts in a fun and engaging setting, nurturing early interest in STEM and preparing them for future demands in the digital economy.
